Warcraft 3 MODs

yes i did for both i got the amxmod x 1.6x v2.3.0 and i read the documentation and put all the files in the right folders. Do i need to install amx mod x first then metamod then war3?

I have recently gotten a server and I put all the files in through the ftp and there in the right place i turn my server on through cortex and its still just 1.6 no mod or anything. Can anyone help me figure out why its not working?
