I am unable to compile war3ft on my Ubuntu Linux system and was wondering if someone wouldn't mind compiling 3.0RC8 for me or helping me fix the issue of "permission denied" - I tried everything listed on http://wiki.amxmodx.org/index.php/Compi ... X_Mod_X%29

but nothing worked for actually getting it to compile, which is frustrating me because I'd hate to revert back to windows just to keep WC3FT :-\. I have tried chmodding/properties but it still won't compile even with "sudo"

Sure, if you edited the code at all, give me a copy of the edited code and I will compile it for 1.76d for you. Though, you can compile it on a windows box and it still work fine on the linux one, fyi

I don't remember if/when I edited any of this code but here it is anyway. I worry that even when compiled locally on Linux that the same problem will arise because I tried using my locally compiled Windows version with this problem and same thing. I want to know why the heck MY WC3FT doesn't work on Linux but others do!

Thanks, glad to see that's different size from my Windows compilation. I don't know what to do and how to test it because I had my operating system swapped quickly back to Windows just to regain population. I may have them switch it again to test it and if it works, great but I sure hope it will always work but if not, I'll have to deal with Windows.

By the way, how did you run the compile? Did you do "sh compile.sh" or "./amxxpc war3ft.sma" because neither of those worked for me. "./amxxpc" returns a command not found error and "sh compile.sh" just returns a blank terminal on my 7.04 Feisty install; but it says permission denied for all plugins. I tried chmodding their permissions but everything still failed.

First, I set the permissions of amxxpc, amxxpc32.so, amxxpc64.so, compile.sh, dlsym, dlsym64, and sasm to 700.

Then, this is the exact command that I ran

screen ./compile.sh war3ft.sma

I think that I have 7.04 Server as well. If not, then 6.10 Server

Yep, I got my Ubuntu install to work on the compilation by setting the permissions to be read/write and execute as program. I'm happy it worked for me now that I follow Yami's instructions because now Ubuntu is on my good terms again
