database retrieval Errors

Sorry guy's I'm new to this and not sure how to get all the info you want above.

The problem I have is the server cannot retrieve the xp from data base here is the error line which is repeated lots of times

"L 01/09/2008 - 08:37:20: [MYSQLX] Error in querying database, location: 2
L 01/09/2008 - 08:37:20: [MYSQLX] Message: MySQL server has gone away (2006)
L 01/09/2008 - 08:37:20: [MYSQLX] Query statement: SELECT `player_id` FROM `wc3_player` WHERE `player_steamid` = 'STEAM_0:0:5483271';
L 01/09/2008 - 08:37:20: [ERROR] Unable to retreive user's (1) Unique ID, trying again..."

I had a problem with the sound files but I uploaded them again to the ftp and the gameserver which seems to have resloved this. I had my friend who deals with our hosting do the stats page and database but he has checked the db for me and says it all is fine and I don't really know what this error message means other than it can't find the database.
I've attached the wc3_error.log in zip format.

HELP please lol

like it says : MySQL server has gone away
your mysql is to far from your gameserver; or the mysql just sucks.

What does that mean it's too far away from the game server? or it just sucks thats not very helpful to me my friend how can it be too far away? it's on the gameserver. I need a little more constructive help.

This is a known issue. Please search next time before you ask. There is also an open bug report about this issue. Topic Locked
