Segmentation fault when client joins

Hi,

I've set up a few cs 1,6 servers on a new AMD A64 X2 system, with Linux Debian 64 port as OS (2.6.15.4 SMP). They are all working very well, except the War3FT server.

The HLDS starts just fine and everything is loaded okay, but as soon as a player joins, the server gets Segmentation fault and crashes.

I'm using War3FT 2.3.1b with MySQL backend and AMX Mod X 1.60.

I've been searching around a bit, and cant really make up whether it's a 64bit specific bug, or a general bug - i came across the following topics:

Any ideas on what to do? Thanks!

I just tested the setup with the old versions from http://wc3mods.net/war3ft/downloads/retired/, and it seems to be working with all versions from 2.2.6 and earlier.

Seems like there's a bug in version 2.2.7 and older releases.

This is with the module off right?

Yes, in 2.3.1b it's without the module (afaik there is no module for 2.3.1?) and in 2.2.6 it's with the included module. I have the other required modules enabled, and my setup works just fine on my x86-based servers.

There doesn't seem to be any problem for me in running 2.2.6, but since it seems to be a general bug i think it should be looked in to.

Have you tried this with non-AMD 64? Was j/w as I can't reproduce and I don't have access to an amd64 machine

Yes, as i wrote it's running succesfully on my x86-based servers. If you need me to test anything then just tell me, but be aware that it might take up to 24 hours for an answer, since i'll only be able to test at late night or early morning (GMT+1), to avoid disturbing the regular players.
