Hi,

i just installed war3ft v2.3.1.
no problem with the installation.

but if you connect to the server, the hole server is restarting. hlds is restarting if any client is "precashing resources".

i read http://www.amxmodx.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=24549 but the answer "this is fixed in CVS. thanks!" doesnt help me, what does that mean? is this the answer to the problem?

Well, i think that this is because of my linux 64bit installation.
i tried amxx 1.6 and amxx 1.7. both are working, but have the same connecting problem with wc3ft.

without the wc3ft-mplugin the server is running perfect.

i used wc3 vault expansion (works perfect), but i wanted to change to war3ft, where this problem occured

Make sure you are running the 32-bit binaries for HLDS and AMXX. The HLDS 64-bit build is over a year out dated and considered unsupported by VALVe at this time. Your system should still be able to run the 32-bit versions but you'll have to force it to load the i686 or amd binary (Not sure what CPU you have).

Definately use AMXX1.7 though, lots of optimizations.

well, the gameserverprovider runns every server with "hlds_amd64" and so there is no option to change to 32-bit.

i think the cpu is any opteron, but i dont know excaclty...

so there is no solution to run the war3ft with an hlds-64-bit application?

will there be a fix anytime, or is this for sure that there will never be a patch which fixes this problem?

than i ll have to stay with wc3 vault expansion -.-

Tell your GPS that you want the 32-bit binary or will go elsewhere. The 64-bit binary does NOT have VAC2 and is over a year out of date. This should be a serious concern to you. VALVe has basicly said they won't be updating the 64-bit binary for a LONG time, if ever.

that there is no vac2 and some other problems is a very serious concern to me. but i just wanted to ask, if there is realy no other option for the war3ft.

its a pity, but well...thanks!
