Problem with FT_query_client (2.3.2 & Amxx 1.71)

Hi,
I can't get the cl_minmodel check to work. I've tried 3 clean reinstalls of amxx/meta and this wc3mod , even the default that's in the 2.3.2 package, setting FT_query_client to 0 and 1 , still won't work.
I've tried debug'ing the plugin, seems he's actually checking the cvar just not doing anything about it, but I'm really not qualified to say for certain
So now I'm out of options and my last hope is someone else can help me.
Btw: He doesn't kick on cl_minmodel 1 on connect or changes in-game.
