Warcraft 3 MODs

so i was testing the mysql save xp thing, and i dont know why but it is really slow

the database is on my own computer AND i have counter strike playing

the ping in counter strike is 60ms
when someone says changerace, it takes 10 seconds for the race menu to show up, i monitored my bandwidth usage, it is no where near full

i do not think that its my server host that limits mysql bandwidth

anyone else use mysql?

Same computer:
- half life server
- mysql sever
- game client running?

if so - yea it's going to run like shit

CSclient&MySQL server @ california

game ping: ~70

changerace menu delay: 10 seconds

what is the ping from the chicago server to the CA one - sounds like that is why there is lag... remember that game servers react INSTANTLY - so a 70ms ping is very high, you need the ping to the mysql server to be under 10, ideally
