If the server is unable to get the IP address of itself, then it can't connect to anything and nobody can connect to it. I would suggest doing a fresh install of HLDS.

Oh, and wc3ft forces AMXx to load Fun, Engine, Fakemeta, Cstrike, MySQL, and SQLite

I said HLDS, not MySQL. You can backup all of your mods. I am just telling you to reinstall the base HLDS files

still says

WARNING: UDP_OpenSocket: port: 27015 bind: WSAEADDRINUSE
NET Ports: server 27015, client 27005
Could not get TCP/IP address, TCP/IP disabled

I think i could fix that my forwarding my ports of my router though? so the main problem is ... why is my admin not working, and why are my War3ft races not showing up

Try using the users.ini file for your admins and try using SQLite for your wc3ft xp. See if that helps any

Alright, very nice. SQlite also fixed the problems with the race...however..im still getting the error: WARNING: UDP_OpenSocket: port: 27015 bind: WSAEADDRINUSE
NET Ports: server 27015, client 27005
Could not get TCP/IP address, TCP/IP disabled
Reason: WSAENOTS

But like i said, i think portforwarding will fix that... And the admin is also working now, Ill try to forward the ports and keep you informed. Thanks!

Switch the server port to 27016 instead

Okay now my console just says

NET Ports: server 27015, client 27005
Server IP address 192.168.0.136:27015
Connecting to 192.168.0.136:27016...
Connection accepted by 192.168.0.136:27

Does that mean everyone can connect to my server now? All systems go?

Post a Public address and we can try.

192.168.0.136:27 is a typically router network address, so it isnt public to the world = cant connect from outside your home network.

Well what would a Public Address be? gimme some examples please.. And that IP is the static IP i configured through portforward.com.. So will i have to make a different static IP also?

Also, my server console says...
Adding master server 72.165.61.189:27010
Adding master server 72.165.61.190:27010

If it helps.

The ip that you give to others is the ip that is displayed at http://whatismyip.com

/sigh, when i put that ip in my network configs, then my internet doesn't work

No, that is the IP that you give to others if they want to connect to your server. That IP is your router's IP to the rest of the world

Ohh, so everyone CAN actually see/connect to the server? or what do i do to make them see the server?

Forward your ports and make sure the server is not setup for LAN.

when i try to forward the ports for steam for the IP 65.255.65.171, which is the ip on whatismyip.com... it says i have to use a ip within the LAN subnet (192.168.0.0)

by YamiKaitou
The 65.255 IP is the IP you give to others, NOT THE IP OF YOUR SERVER. The IP of your server is the 192.168 IP. The 65.255 IP is the IP of your router. When a client connects to that IP, the router looks at the port the client is connecting to and then forwards the info to the computer that that port is forwarded to. So, you forward to the 192.168 IP and you give out the 65.255 IP.

Grr... Im really sorry about this, i just dont know anything about any of this. But! your help IS very much appreciated.

I'm not sure how to set the router or server to give out the 65.255 ip?

it is already set that way. If you give people the IP to your server, give them the 65.255 IP. The server itself will say the ip is the 192.168 one, but everyone will connect to the 65.255 ip

rofl i'm glad i just read this thread after yami like answered it :P

In Summary:

A router has (generally) ONE public address, this address can be viewed by connecting to the router's admin tool or by going to www.whatismyip.com (must visit site while connected to router). A router has many private addresses which it designates to computers that are connected to it (generally 192.168.x.x 10.0.x.x).

Bam done :P methinks
