mysql question

im runing a cscz server with wc3ft rc9 and i was just wondering if its ok to save xp to a mysql server that is not the same server as the game server

Yes, that is fine. You just have to make sure that the MySQL server is allowed to accept connections from your server's IP and that there is no Firewall that would block/diable port 3306 from the outside world.
