DOD SERVER PROB

ok iv tryed everything and iv followed the instution all to the last word and i keep gettign this prob Mod_NumForName: sprites/snow.spr not found why do i keep getitng it i know iv posted this on the amx modx.com but nto one answering so im asking here plz can anyone help me?

look for that file in the cstrike/sprites directory and copy it to the dod/sprites directory

do i have to have the sprite folder in my dedi server/dod? or in my day of defeat/dod

You need it in the "dod/sprites" folder from where you start your server.

well atm my sprites folder in in this location: :\Program CFiles\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\account\dedicated server\dod
and the folder is read only some reason not sure about that

So it's a dedicated server running under Windows. OK, you need to put the snow.spr inside the "%ProgramFiles%\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\<your steam account name>\dedicated server\dod\sprites" folder.

About it being read-only, you either are trying to access the folder from a restricted Windows account other than the one you installed Steam with, you for some reason have it marked as read-only (right click the "%ProgramFiles%\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\<your steam account name>" folder, go to Properties, unset the read-only mark and tell it to process all sub-folders), or you have filesystem inconsistencies (open a Command Prompt enter "chkdsk /x" and at the next reboot your filesystem will be checked/fixed).

There are only four, by the subjects there are only two that might apply, one of them is really short so you can rule it out very fast, so it's the other...

all need is a easy to set up bot mod onyl one iv found is hrikebot but thats to hard for me to underatsn on how to get it workinging

I'm not stupid, so if I tell you that you can get your answer someplace, I'm sure of it.

Anyhow this time only I'll take you there by the hand:

Open Links to all the files you need to install Warcraft 3 FT MOD, scroll down to the very bottom of the post 'till you get to section "d. Extra non-required files" and read the third point.

If you had done what I suggested before you couldn't miss it.

There is no such thing, and all the good things take a little effort.

You can also try to search Google for Day of Defeat bots.

Thats probably because you cannot use the liblist.gam file to start the bot if you run admin/amx/metamod. Instead, you have to create a file in your metamod folder (i.e. ..../dod/addons/metamod) called config.ini, and place the game dll text (i.e. gamedll dlls/shrikebot.dll) into it.

Simple stuff really, and has been posted in various places on the website, in the manual, and in at least 20 places on the forums.......

Someday we might just have to do what war3ft does and zip up the whole thing, amxx/metamod/bot all in one....
